What Do Vegans Eat?!

I love it when I get asked this question, mainly because I’m shocked when people tell me they don’t eat that many vegetables.  My very first thought is, “what do YOU eat if you don’t eat vegetables?!”  Here’s what I’ve been eating the past several days.

Sweet potatoes, rainbow chard, mushrooms, and asparagus over brown rice

Almond milk Greek yogurt with protein powder, chia seeds, flaxseeds, and fruit

Artichoke salad, inspired by a wrap I had in Las Vegas

Peach pie smoothie, which only looks green because of the spinach I added at the very end

Grilled tempeh with kale

Peanut butter fruit toast

Carrot apple juice

Strawberry salad

Fresh fruit

Veggie lo mein

Quinoa mango black bean salad

Quinoa breakfast porridge

What are some of your favorite things to eat?

    sweet*

    • I just cooked the chard and mushrooms in veggie broth, then sauteed the sweet potato and asparagus with a little olive oil and Mrs. Dash seasoning. That’s an all purpose seasoning, hopefully you have something similar in Australia too!

oh my, if only Australia had other choices then chicken and meat -_- that’s all australians like to eat !!!! i think ive never seen vegeterian or vegan restaurant in my life !!! kind of suckssss, btwww i bought the vegan protein that i told you i was going to buy and it tasted GROSS i even blended ice and 4 strawberries in it and i still couldnt drink it !! id rather take my source of protein through foods instead 😛

    • Yeah, we’re lucky we have options for vegan restaurants here or items on menus that are marked vegan. Hopefully soon in Australia! I’m sorry that the vegan protein powder that you bought is gross. Too bad you can’t import from the US 😦
